Log DayCare Centre Pihlaja opened in Joensuu Opotta in August 2021.Day Care Centre Pihlaja offers high-quality, child-centred early childhood education and pre-school education for children aged 0-6 in a warm and welcoming log day care centre.
Lots of outdoor activities in all weathers
Pihlaja Nature Day Care Centre is a great place for outdoor activities, regardless of the weather. The activities focus on exploring, wondering and hiking in different natural phenomena.
The forest is a good playground for children, with almost unlimited ideas and opportunities for play, movement and creativity. Experiences of nature during childhood and adolescence have a significant impact throughout human life. Nature provides a rich and stimulating environment for children to move and learn. Ingenuity, recycling and using nature’s own gifts for learning and play are an important part of everyday life at the Nature Day Care Centre.

In an ecological log nursery, children enjoy fresh indoor air, good acoustics and the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere of solid wood. A healthy and sensory-friendly environment contributes to the well-being of both children and caregivers during the day. Welcome to visit us!

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.
