Nature-oriented daycare centre Pilke Pihlajarinne is surrounded by good outdoor environments in Espoo
Pilke Pihlajarinne is an outsourced daycare centre located in a verdant residential area in northern Espoo by Ring III (Kehä III). The region is characterised by a village-like atmosphere, and the families often live close to the daycare centre. Nevertheless, Espoo Centre and the district of Leppävaara are easily accessible via excellent transport connections. The daycare unit is in the vicinity of refreshing outdoor environments and parks.
The daycare centre’s premises are spacious and bright, and the large yard enables versatile activities. We spend time in active small groups which make use of all of the daycare centre’s facilities. Daycare centre Pihlajarinne also provides pre-primary education.
Nature is an integral part of our operation, and we make weekly trips to the nearby parks and forests. We value the children’s ideas and take them into account in our operation. We also arrange time for long-lasting play which we consider an essential form of learning.
