The client fee is between 0 and 311 euros per month, which is the same as in municipal early childhood education.
The client fee is determined based on the value of the service voucher, which depends on the family size, income, and the child’s early childhood education hours.
You can apply for a daycare placement with a service voucher through the City of Turku’s website. Please also fill in the application for early childhood education at Pilke daycare centers.
You can also apply for daycare using private childcare allowance; in that case, you should also complete Pilke’s early childhood education application.
You can apply to us at any time, and starting is possible quite quickly!

Daisy is our communication and information channel between home and daycare. We use Daisy to communicate, for example, about events and news from the daycare.
Families use Daisy to send us information such as childcare bookings and absence notifications.
A Small and Cozy Daycare Connected to Skanssi
Pilke Music Daycare Veturi opened in connection with the Skanssi shopping center in August 2020. Veturi provides high-quality, child-centered early childhood education in a small and warm-hearted daycare, where every child is the star of their own life—just as they are.
Veturi is a small, community-oriented daycare where every child is genuinely seen and valued. Our child-centered daily life is full of warmth, joy, learning, and discoveries.
Singing, Playing, and Rhyming
The goal of a music-oriented daycare is to provide children with musical experiences, skills, and abilities, as well as opportunities for learning and success. It also aims to inspire a lasting interest in music as a hobby.
The music focus is reflected in everyday life through a love for music. At the daycare, children sing, play instruments, dance, and improvise in a joyful atmosphere—for example through forest music sessions, music painting, and musical poetry.

You can apply for a place at Pilke daycare any time!
Typically, families start looking for and applying to daycare about 4–10 months before the planned start of early childhood education.
However, we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible. This helps us to ensure your child gets a place at your chosen daycare center and is able to start at a time that suits your family.

At the daycare, breakfast, lunch, and a snack are offered. At Pilke daycares, we provide children with domestic, healthy, and tasty food that is diverse and easy to eat, designed specifically with children’s tastes and textures in mind.
Each of our daycares has a daycare assistant responsible for warming the food and serving other items according to the menu.
During holiday periods, there are fewer children in daycare, as many families are on vacation and children stay at home. For this reason, some of our daycare centers are closed while others remain open.
The open daycare centers operate as on-duty centers, providing care for all children from Pilke daycare centers in the area who need early childhood education.
These on-duty centers are staffed by Pilke’s own early childhood educators from various daycare centers in the same region.
We inform families well in advance about holiday opening hours and which Pilke daycare centers in the area will be open.
