The daycare centre participates in the City of Espoo’s trial in which 20 weekly hours of early childhood education and care are offered for five-year-olds free of charge. Please inquire for further details from the daycare centre manager.

Daisy is our communication and information channel between home and daycare. We use Daisy to communicate, for example, about events and news from the daycare.
Families use Daisy to send us information such as childcare bookings and absence notifications.
Pilke Nature Daycare Pihlajarinne – located near outdoor areas in Espoo
Pilke Pihlajarinne is a purchased-service daycare in northern Espoo, situated in a green low-rise residential area near Ring III. We provide high-quality, child-centered early childhood education and pre-primary education for children aged 0–6.
The neighborhood has a village-like atmosphere, and many families live close to the daycare. Espoo city center and Leppävaara are also easily accessible. The local area offers excellent outdoor spaces and parks.
Our daycare has bright, spacious facilities and a large, diverse yard. Children engage in hands-on activities in small groups, making full use of all our spaces. Pre-primary education is also provided.
We are a Green Flag daycare
Nature is an important part of our activities. We go on weekly excursions to nearby parks and forests, and offer high-quality Metsämörri (forest play) activities. Environmental education is a daily focus, and we actively follow the Green Flag principles for sustainable development. We value children’s ideas and incorporate them into our activities. We also dedicate time to extended play, which we consider an important form of learning.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Breakfast

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.

Lunch, followed by a rest. Some of the children sleep or rest while the others go outside. After the rest, it’s time for quiet play and activities.
