Pilke Playschool Espoonlahti

Playschool Espoonlahti is a language kindergarten with four Finnish-speaking and four English-speaking children’s groups. In our bilingual preschool, children receive instruction in both English and Finnish. In our Finnish-speaking groups, we emphasize English language enrichment, and in English-speaking groups, Finnish language enrichment. Our pedagogical activities adhere to the Finnish National Core Curriculum for Early Childhood Education and Care. We also have a strong emphasis on multiculturalism and diversity, celebrating various events throughout the year.

Centrally located

Pilke Playschool Espoonlahti is a new daycare center opened in August 2022 in the heart of Espoonlahti. We are located on the 3rd floor of the shopping center Lippulaiva, next to good transport connections. Our facilities are new and spacious, and we also have our own fenced yard. Playschool Espoonlahti has 162 childcare places for children aged 0-6. We also offer preschool education in our kindergarten.

Language-rich early childhood education

We have Finnish-language groups in the kindergarten, where English is gradually introduced. We also have English-language groups, where Finnish is gradually introduced.

In language-rich early childhood education, children get to practice familiar songs, rhymes and concepts by singing and meditating together in the main language of the group, but Finnish or English is also used in everyday life.
