Daisy is our communication and information channel between home and daycare We use Daisy to communicate, for example, about events and news from the daycare.
Families use Daisy to send us information such as childcare bookings and absence notifications.
You apply for the daycare centre via Pilke website by filling in Pilke application for early childhood education, after which the family applies for a service voucher from the City of Hapavesi.
You can apply at any time, and you can get started quickly!

Pilke nature daycare centre Taikakumpu operates in a brand new log building in Haapavesi
Taikakumpu is a nature-focused day care centre where children learn a positive attitude towards nature and a sustainable lifestyle. The day care centre offers plenty of outdoor activities, taking into account the weather conditions.
The activities focus on exploring and admiring different natural phenomena, regular hiking and nature walks. Ingenuity, recycling and using nature’s own resources for learning and play are an important part of the day-care centre’s daily life.
Your own hut as a home base
One of the groups at the daycare is an “outdoor group”, which mainly works outdoors and is based in a friendly hut in the daycare courtyard. Outdoor life is all about being, playing and moving around in nature and in your own yard. The home group spends several hours a day outdoors and, where possible, also eats and sleeps outside in a comfortable home.
The yard provides a setting for creative play, building activities, tending the garden, chopping trees and sitting around a campfire. The changing seasons and weather, and how we wonder, collect and sort them together, add a natural content to the activities. Outdoors, our senses are exercised: we hear, see, smell, feel and taste better.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.
