Getting to know different types of exercise
Pilke Ihmekone is a sports-oriented daycare centre that aims to support children’s physical activity in daycare centres’ everyday life, strengthen children’s interest in exercise and an active lifestyle, and teach children a healthy and safe attitude towards their own bodies and environment.
The emphasis on exercise can be seen in the everyday life of Ihmekone in various moments: group gatherings, exercise moments and getting to know different sports at age and developmental level. For us, it is important to create an everyday life for children where they are allowed to express all emotions and feel safe every day. We are constantly developing cooperation with the child’s guardians and ways to increase their sense of inclusion.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.
