Diverse Activities in Accordance with the Early Childhood Education Plan
Our activities naturally include a variety of experiences such as theatrical performances, excursions, arts and crafts, and painting, while also allowing time for rest. Pedagogy is present in every moment of our daycare day. It is about pausing together and marveling at everyday things—counting peas in a salad or experimenting with colors while painting. We value every unhurried moment spent talking, playing, and being silly together, exploring the world as a community.
At Kantele, an early childhood education teacher works in a new Ope+ role. They strengthen pedagogical practices across all groups and are responsible for the daycare’s overall pedagogical development tasks.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Breakfast

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.

Lunch, followed by a rest. Some of the children sleep or rest while the others go outside. After the rest, it’s time for quiet play and activities.
