Pilke Nature Daycare Jokilaiva – Discovering and Learning Together
Pilke Daycare Jokilaiva is located in Ahjo, surrounded by good transport connections and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. The daycare provides high-quality, child-centered early childhood education and pre-primary education for children aged 0–6. Its gentle and nurturing atmosphere brings safety, warmth, and care to everyday life. We create a safe growth environment where an adult’s arms are always open to the child.
Outdoor Activities in All Weather
Jokilaiva is a nature-focused daycare where children develop a positive attitude toward nature and a sustainable lifestyle. We spend a lot of time outdoors, rain or shine. Our activities emphasize exploring and marveling at natural phenomena, regular excursions, and movement in nature.
The forest is an excellent playground for children, offering almost limitless opportunities for play, movement, and creativity. Childhood and youth experiences in nature have a lasting impact throughout life. Nature provides a diverse and inspiring environment for children’s physical activity and learning.
Finnish as a Second Language
We also offer Finnish as a Second Language (S2) instruction. Children learn Finnish in a safe and supportive environment while their home language and culture are respected. In everyday activities, we also communicate fluently in English.
