Daisy is our communication and information channel between home and daycare. We use Daisy to communicate, for example, about events and news from the daycare.
Families use Daisy to send us information such as childcare bookings and absence notifications.
Pilke Kanttarelli offers nature-oriented early childhood education in Kynsilehto
Daycare Kanttarelli is a small and cozy nature-oriented daycare in Oulu, located in the pleasant Kynsilehto area. Our daycare provides high-quality early childhood education with a focus on sustainable development, and we have 45 children between the ages of 1 and 6. We operate in spacious, home-like facilities where the children are divided into three groups.
Exploring the nearby nature
The daycare yard is rich with diverse vegetation, and the children take part in caring for it together. The surrounding area also offers wonderful outdoor environments. We spend a lot of time outdoors, exploring nearby forests and parks, which expand the children’s learning environment. Our surroundings provide versatile opportunities to study the cycle of nature and the changing seasons.
A Green Flag daycare
In 2019, FEE Finland awarded Pilke Kanttarelli the Green Flag recognition for exemplary Green Flag activities. In our daily life, sustainable development and the joy of movement are always present. We put sustainable principles into practice through, for example, waste sorting, recycling, and eco-friendly practices. Our Metsämörri activities and Green Flag program further support sustainable development.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Breakfast

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.

Lunch, followed by a rest. Some of the children sleep or rest while the others go outside. After the rest, it’s time for quiet play and activities.
