Usva is a private day-care centre with vouchers. Apply for a service voucher on the City of Oulu website and for a day care place with Pilke application for early childhood education.

Daisy is our communication and information channel between home and nursery. We use Daisy to communicate, for example, about events and news from the nursery.
Families use Daisy to send us information such as childcare bookings and absence notifications.

Wondering and Discovering New Things
Usva is a science-oriented daycare where children explore and wonder about phenomena that arise from their own thoughts and interests. Depending on their age, this could mean examining the states of water, exploring the solar system, marveling at rainbows, or building three-dimensional shapes.
Science education for children under three is based on using the senses, observing, wondering, asking questions, and engaging with stories and fairy tales.
A Research Playroom for Little Professors
The daycare’s learning environments are designed to invite and encourage exploration and experimentation. There is a special research playroom where little professors can conduct their investigations using pipettes, magnifiers, test tubes, and microscopes.
The daycare yard, nearby surroundings, and various excursion destinations also serve as excellent research sites. In this science-oriented daycare, children learn through play and activity to discover, experiment, and experience the joy of success.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.
