The fee is determined based on the value of the service voucher, which depends on the family size, income, and the child’s early childhood education hours.
Soittajankangas is a private service voucher daycare. Apply for a service voucher on the City of Oulu’s website and for a daycare spot through Pilke’s application for early childhood education.
Daisy is our communication and information channel between home and daycare. We use Daisy to communicate, for example, about events and news from the daycare.
Families use Daisy to send us information such as childcare bookings and absence notifications.
Cozy Nature Kindergarten at Soittajankangas
The nature daycare Soittajankangas is located in Soittajankangas, in the Hiukkavaara district, offering high-quality and child-centered early childhood education and preschool for children aged 0–6.
Soittajankangas is a nature-oriented kindergarten where children learn a positive attitude toward nature and a sustainable way of life. The children spend plenty of time outdoors, regardless of the weather. The activities emphasize exploring and wondering about natural phenomena, regular excursions, and being active in nature. Creativity, recycling, and using nature’s own materials for learning and play are an important part of the kindergarten’s daily life.

The kindergarten is surrounded by wonderful hiking areas and a nearby library that we visit weekly. During the day, we work in small groups and emphasize all-day pedagogy.
Soittajankangas has its own “Muksubus,” which allows small groups to go on longer trips. In our gym, children enjoy physical activities according to a structured exercise plan.
All our meals are prepared by our own chef. High-quality, wholesome food is a great source of pride for us.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Breakfast

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.

Lunch, followed by a rest. Some of the children sleep or rest while the others go outside. After the rest, it’s time for quiet play and activities.
