Warm-hearted Revontuli Daycare – English and the wonders of nature!
The versatile Revontuli Daycare is located in a peaceful central area on Vapaudentie, next to Kirkkolampi, along a main commuter route. Thanks to its central location, the daycare often goes on excursions to nearby parks, the library, museums, and other cultural sites and events.
Revontuli provides high-quality, child-centered early childhood education and pre-primary education for children aged 0–6. Welcome to come and get to know us!
Lapland’s nature present everywhere
As a nature-focused daycare, we offer children the opportunity to experience the wonders of nature in a holistic way. The many possibilities of the nearby natural environment become familiar as we spend time in Lapland’s riverside landscapes. From our daycare’s backyard, we have direct access to the beautiful Kirkkolampi and nearby playgrounds. In addition to excursions, we explore nature through literature, art, and play. We also visit cultural services provided by the city.
In nature, we find the world’s best playground, and exploring it opens the path to lifelong learning. Nature offers children an inspiring learning environment with almost unlimited ideas and opportunities for play, physical activity, and creativity. Nature experiences gained in childhood and youth have a significant impact throughout a person’s life.

Learning English!
At our daycare, children also learn the English language. Language learning is based on language-enriched early childhood education. The aim of language-enriched early education is to spark children’s interest in and positive attitudes toward languages, which in turn can support language learning in a positive way. In language-enriched early education, children are introduced to English through hands-on activities such as songs, rhymes, literature, everyday phrases, games, and exploring different cultures.
English is a common international language and helps open a child’s view of the world. Our daycare has a multicultural and international atmosphere that encourages children to learn new things, for example about different cultures. We warmly welcome children and families from all over the world to our colorful daycare!
