Pilke nature-oriented Daycare centre Pajupilli

Pilke Nature Daycare Pajupilli opened in a new building on Kirkkotie in Sotkamo in January 2019. This nature-focused daycare provides high-quality, child-centered early childhood education in a warm and welcoming environment for children aged 0–5 years. At our daycare, every child is the superstar of their own life, just as they are.

One of Pajupilli’s strengths is its warm sense of community and childlike enthusiasm for new ideas. For example, we hold a “whole day outdoors” event, during which we play, garden, eat, and even nap in tents—spending the entire day outside.

Exploring the Local Nature

Pajupilli is a nature-focused daycare where children develop a positive attitude toward nature and learn about sustainable living. Outdoor activities are a key part of daily life, regardless of the weather. The daycare has its own sheltered yard, and the surrounding area offers wonderful outdoor spaces. We explore the local environment through walks and excursions in forests and parks, expanding the children’s learning environment. Our area provides rich opportunities to study natural cycles and seasonal changes.

The forest is an excellent playground for children, offering nearly limitless opportunities for play, movement, and creativity. Childhood and youth experiences in nature have a lasting impact throughout life.
