Pilke Lamminranta offers high-quality, child-centered early childhood education in a warm and welcoming daycare for children aged 0–5 years. In our nature-focused daycare, we spend a lot of time outdoors, regardless of the weather. The activities emphasize the exploration and wonder of various natural phenomena, as well as hiking.

The forest is a great play area for children, offering nearly endless ideas and ways to play, move, and foster creativity. Nature experiences gained as a child and young person have a significant impact throughout one’s life. The natural environment provides a diverse and inspiring setting for children’s movement and learning. Creativity, recycling, and utilizing nature’s own resources for learning and play are important parts of daily life at our nature daycare.

Versatile activities in accordance with the early childhood education plan

Our activities naturally include various other engaging experiences such as singing sessions, theater performances, arts and crafts, and painting moments, not forgetting rest times. Pedagogical practices are present in every moment of the daycare. It is about stopping together and marveling at the world; counting peas in a salad and playing with colors while painting. We cherish every unhurried moment we get to spend talking, playing, and being silly; exploring the world together.

New collaboration brings generations together

The daycare is located next to a senior citizens' service home. The building has shared spaces that allow for intergenerational activities. We believe that joint outdoor and playtime enrich the lives of both children and elderly residents, always taking into account the well-being and health of the care recipients.

Example of the daily routine at daycare

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.
