Daycare centre Puolikko provides high-quality child-centred early childhood education and care for children aged 0–5 years at a warm-spirited daycare centre with 30 daycare places.
We implement a project working method in which our operation is planned and evaluated jointly with the children and the parents. Project work is based on the children’s strengths, discoveries and interests. It is versatile and fascinating, and it supports the children’s participation and development without forgetting the significance of independent play. We also implement the Finnish Outdoor Association’s Metsämörri (Forest Troll) activities in which the Metsämörri character familiarises the children with nature.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Breakfast

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.

Lunch, followed by a rest. Some of the children sleep or rest while the others go outside. After the rest, it’s time for quiet play and activities.
