Daisy is our communication and information channel between home and daycare. We use Daisy to communicate, for example, about events and news from the daycare.

Daycare centre Pilke Sinikello provides music-oriented early childhood education and care close to the city centre of Turku
Pilke Sinikello is a music-oriented daycare centre which has operated in Turku already since 1963. The unit is located by a bus station close to central Turku, and as a result, we also have children from families that live in Turku’s neighbour municipalities. Sinikello’s child groups are named after flowers, and we provide our young florets with a safe and nutrient-rich environment, fostering sustainable growth and allowing them to blossom. When the roots are allowed to grow deep, small gusts in the winds of life cannot sway the flowers’ strong stalks.
Our early education is goal-oriented, and we reserve plenty of time for all areas of education. The significance of music is strongly emphasised in Sinikello’s operation. We allow each child to express themselves through music, regardless of their skills or talent. Our common musical activities include music clubs led by professionals for all children, dance classes for children aged over 3 years, and common singing, play and exercise activities designed by the daycare centre personnel. Pre-schoolers have the opportunity to participate in kantele or recorder flute lessons. We also organise piano classes during the day at daycare.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Breakfast

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.

Lunch, followed by a rest. Some of the children sleep or rest while the others go outside. After the rest, it’s time for quiet play and activities.
