Science-oriented daycare centre Pilke Hohto is located in Kivistö, Vantaa
Pilke’s sport-oriented daycare centre Hohto opened on Spinellinkuja Street in the plot of the former Kivistö school in August 2018. Hohto provides high-quality child-centred early childhood education and care for children aged 0–6 years.
Getting to know different types of exercise
Pilke Hohto is a sports–oriented daycare centre that aims to support children’s physical activity in the daycare centre‘s everyday life, to strengthen children‘s interest in exercise and an active lifestyle, and to teach children a healthy and safe attitude towards their own body and environment. The sports–oriented approach can be seen in Hohto‘s everyday life in various moments: group gatherings, exercise moments and getting to know different sports at age and developmental level. For us, it is important to create an everyday life for children where they are allowed to express all emotions and feel safe every day. We are constantly developing cooperation with the child‘s guardians and ways to increase their sense of inclusion.
