The daycare centre participates in the City of Espoo’s trial in which 20 weekly hours of early childhood education and care are offered for five-year-olds free of charge. Please inquire for further details from the daycare centre manager.

Pilke’s sports-oriented daycare centre Martinmäki is located by excellent exercise facilities in the peaceful residential area of Martinmäki, Espoo. We offer high-quality child-centred early childhood education and care at a welcoming daycare centre which provides the children with a safe and calm learning environment.
At Martinmäki, the children participate in regular instructed exercise activities. We support the children’s daily independent exercise by building a learning environment that encourages and inspires them to do sports. This is realised by, for example, making sports equipment easily accessible to the children.
Children also participate in a wide variety of outdoor activities such as trips to the nearby forest, sports field and parks. In addition, we organise fun, sporty events for the entire family.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Breakfast

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.

Lunch, followed by a rest. Some of the children sleep or rest while the others go outside. After the rest, it’s time for quiet play and activities.
