We offer early years learning in fully English-language or in extensive bilingual Finnish English. Fees

Our full-time early childhood education fee is €84.15–€410 / month starting from August 1, 2025.


The daycare fee is affected by the private daycare allowance granted by Kela. The customer fee may be reduced by an income-related care supplement—check Kela’s updated income limits here.

To use Kela’s calculator, please ask the daycare director for the total monthly fee and other relevant information.

Sibling discount: €150.

Our daycare offers 4 hours of free early childhood education per day for 5-year-olds. In addition, the City of Helsinki supports families with 5-year-olds with €160 per month. Please contact the daycare director for more information.

Daisy is our communication and information channel between home and daycare. We use Daisy to communicate, for example, about events and news from the daycare.

Pilke Playschool Taikavuori: A Small 33-Place English-Language Daycare in Kallio, Helsinki

Playschool Taikavuori is a small, warm, 33-place English-language daycare. Early childhood education at Playschool Taikavuori is conducted in English, giving children the opportunity to both learn and maintain their English language skills.

At Taikavuori, children explore, wonder, rejoice, and discover in a linguistically and culturally rich environment.

At Pilke, we believe that language learning is much more than just vocabulary and grammar. An English-language learning environment is built around play and interaction. We aim to introduce children to different cultures and help them grow into curious, open-hearted global citizens.

Our central location in Helsinki’s Kallio district offers opportunities to explore the local surroundings, and we often go on excursions to parks, libraries, museums, and other cultural destinations.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.
