The customer fee of the daycare is affected by the allowance for private care granted by the Social Insurance Institution Kela. After the private daycare allowance, our customer fee is a maximum of €305/month. The customer fee is possibly reduced by an income-related care supplement. Check Kela’s new income limits here.
To calculate the final customer fee via the Kela pages, you need the full daycare fee. This fee, as well as additional information, you can ask from the daycare manager.
Our daycare center offers 4 hours of free early childhood education for 5-year-olds, in addition to which the city of Helsinki supports families with 5-year-olds with 160 euros per month. Ask the kindergarten manager for more information.

Music-oriented daycare centre Pilke Taikakuu is located in the Helsinki district of Kivikko by good transport connections in the immediate vicinity of Ring I (Kehä I). Taikakuu provides high-quality child-centred early childhood education and care at a cosy, welcoming daycare centre.
The daycare centre’s activities have a musical focus, and songs, singing games, rhymes, musical instruments, exercise and music listening activities are essential building blocks of the education we provide. Our objective is to provide the children with musical experiences, capacities and skills. We also encourage the children to start longer-term musical hobbies.
Our operation is based on education partnership. Together with the parents, we estimate what’s best for their child and commit to supporting the child’s growth, development and learning. Our safe learning environment fosters the development of a positive outlook on life and self-image as well as a healthy self-esteem.
A science club is organised for children aged over three years at the daycare centre once a week. At the science club, children explore natural sciences and technology through fun and concrete activities such as building Lego robots and observing the weather. The science club is organised by Finnish Science School.
