Daisy is our communication and information channel between home and daycare. We use Daisy to communicate, for example, about events and news from the daycare.

Music-oriented daycare centre Pilke Sointu is located in a new building in Torniomäki, Kouvola
Pilke’s music-oriented daycare centre Sointu opened in February 2016 in Torniomäki, Kouvola. The daycare centre is a new building close to central Kouvola. We offer daycare places for children aged 0–6 years, and we also have a pre-primary education group.
The daycare centre premises provide a versatile learning environment for our everyday operation. We place emphasis on musical activities which we implement hand in hand with everyday pedagogy. Our operation is based on small group activities, which we stagger in accordance with operational space-oriented thinking using, for example, music rooms and the gym.
Regardless of our yard’s small size, it provides excellent opportunities for versatile activities, and we make weekly trips to the nearby playgrounds and forests where we can admire the diversity of nature. Every now and then, we organise musical activities in the forest and play natural instruments.
The most important elements of the musical daycare centre’s operation include common activities, trying new things and experimenting with them through play, not to forget good humour. The children’s participation is an important part of our operation, and together with the families, we design our activities in accordance with the children’s wishes.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.
