Daisy is our communication and information channel between home and daycare. We use Daisy to communicate, for example, about events and news from the daycare.

Small and homelike daycare centre in Pappilanpelto
Pilke Jekku is located in Pappilanpelto, Liminka. The daycare centre’s pleasant, homelike premises provide an excellent setting for versatile early education activities.
Together with the children, we explore the surrounding world with all senses. On the wings of imagination, we journey through fable adventures, musical trips, obstacle courses and artistic experiences.
Playhouse and berry bushes
Daycare centre Jekku has a large yard that enables play, games and diverse imaginary trips. In addition to yard toys, the yard is equipped with a playhouse and a lean-to with a fire pit which we use regularly under careful supervision. The large yard inspires children to exercise, and it can accommodate the entire daycare community at the same time. We go outdoors every day, come rain or shine. There are apple trees and berry bushes on our yard, and we practise growing them together with the children.
Trips on a regular basis
We make regular trips to the nearby woods and playgrounds. On nature trips, the children have the opportunity to explore nature, animals and plants through play. Enjoying a packed lunch in fresh outdoor air creates an adventurous atmosphere. In addition, we are only a short, safe walk away from central Liminka. The museum area and library in Old Liminka are inspirational destinations for both small and large child groups.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.
