Pilke Tuulentupa is a small and cozy nature-oriented daycare center located in Nivala.
At the nature daycare Tuulentupa, children spend time outdoors and stay active regardless of age or weather conditions. Meals are prepared on-site by the daycare’s own cook!
Vilttitossut (ages 1–3) spend their time downstairs, where they learn basic everyday skills, play, sing, and practice age-appropriate crafts at a relaxed pace, with plenty of attention given to the children’s needs. We support children in focusing on play and learning how to share with friends. A comforting lap is always available for those who need it.
Upstairs, the Heinähatut (ages 4–5) are already familiar with daily routines. They independently collect their utensils and serve their meals with guidance from an adult. The five-year-olds, known as viskarit, form their own small group. In the viskari group, they work on various tasks and practice important skills for working together in a group.
