Our learning orientation
The primary aim of music-oriented early childhood education is to spark children’s interest in music. Music offers children a way to express themselves, deepen their emotional life, and enrich their imagination. The building blocks of our music-oriented education include songs, singing games, rhymes, playing instruments, movement, and listening to music.

Pilke DaisyFamily

Music-oriented daycare centre Pilke Nuotti opened in Siilinjärvi in August 2020.

Pilke opened a new daycare centre in Taivallahti at the address Silkkiuikuntie Street 1, 71800 Siilinjärvi. Nuotti provides high-quality child-centred early childhood education and care at a warm-spirited daycare centre with places for 72 children.

The music-oriented daycare centre’s objective is to provide the children with musical experiences, capacities and skills as well as experiences of learning and success. We also encourage the children to start longer-term musical hobbies. The music-oriented education is implemented in the daycare centre’s everyday operation through singing, playing instruments, listening to music, reading rhymes, improvising, exercising and dancing, for example.

In the implementation of early childhood education and care, we emphasise the importance of play, participation and discovery in warm-spirited interaction with our educators. In addition to musical and expressive pedagogy, the days of small children involve versatile activities in the new daycare centre’s indoor and outdoor facilities and on trips in compliance with the early childhood education and care curriculum.

The services are provided in a brand-new log building as a response to the growing need for daycare facilities with clean indoor air. In the ecological log-built daycare centre, children get to enjoy fresh indoor air, good acoustics and the calm, peaceful atmosphere created by solid wood elements. The healthy environment is good for the senses and increases the everyday well-being of both the children and the educators.
