Daisy is our communication and information channel between home and daycare. We use Daisy to communicate, for example, about events and news from the daycare.
Families use Daisy to send us information such as childcare bookings and absence notifications.
English language-enriched kingergarten in Pukinjärvi, Vaasa
Pilke Daycare Pikkuponi opened in January 2019 in a new building in Pukinjärvi, Vaasa. Pikkuponi provides high-quality, child-centered early childhood education in a warm and welcoming environment for children aged 0–5.
We cherish gentle, attentive interaction and create conditions where children not only learn knowledge and skills but also grow to approach the world with kindness and empathy. You are warmly welcome to visit and get to know us!
Getting Familiar with English
At our daycare, we offer language-enriched early childhood education in English, where children practice familiar songs, rhymes, and concepts together, singing and exploring them in English.
Language-enriched early childhood education is a lighter form of bilingual education. Its goals are to support language learning, motivate children, and broaden children’s language experiences. It can also serve as a stepping stone toward language-enriched programs, language immersion, or other bilingual preschool and primary education options.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Breakfast

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.

Lunch, followed by a rest. Some of the children sleep or rest while the others go outside. After the rest, it’s time for quiet play and activities.
