Play and education, hand in hand
Pilke lives the heart culture. This means that we believe that every person is valuable as they are.
We see and celebrate each other’s strengths.
We give everyone the chance to flourish as themselves. Positive interaction supports everybody’s wellbeing. Positive interaction also supports the child’s growth and inner stability.
Early experiences play a significant role in all future development.
What is early childhood education and pre-school education like in Pilke daycare centres?
Early childhood education and care is the comprehensive education, teaching and care of a child provided by a daycare centre. At Pilke daycare centres, we work in accordance with the national and municipal early childhood education and care plans.
Pilke early childhood education focuses on ensuring that children are always safe and well – and that our professional adults know how to meet, activate and listen to them in the right way.
Each of our daycares is local and distinctive, part of the local environment and an active part of its own community. Yet always a familiar and safe Pilke.
The quality of Pilkke's early childhood education receives high scores from our client families
We want to ensure high quality in everything we do at Pilke daycare centres. In our annual customer satisfaction survey*, we receive important feedback from our families to improve our operations.
We pay particular attention to a good and safe start to the daycare and regularly survey new families about their experiences of starting a daycare.
*Pilke DayCare Centres Customer Satisfaction Survey 2024: “I am satisfied with the early childhood education and care my child receives” (on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the best).
Daycare Centres’ learning orientations
Pilke daycare centres offer focused early childhood education, depending on the daycare centre. These priorities support the child’s strengths and interests.
Pilke’s daycare centres focus on languages, science, nature, sport, music, art and expression.
Applying for a daycare place for the first time
How to apply for a place in early childhood education? Starting early childhood education is a big step for both the child and the entire family.
At Pilke, we welcome your child genuinely and take account of their unique skills and interests. We ensure that group education is as individual as possible.
Wondering what you need to know when applying for a place at a daycare? Or how to apply for a daycare? What does a private daycare cost, and what kind of subsidies are available for private early childhood education and care fees?
Get to know the daycare before you apply
Are you looking for a place for your child in a daycare? We always recommend that you visit the daycare on site, if possible, before applying.
The visit will give you an insight into the day-to-day life, facilities and activities of the Pilke daycare centre in question, together with the manager of the daycare centre; we will get to know each other, answer your questions and tell you more about applying and starting at the daycare centre.
When the first day of daycare finally arrives, your child will already be in a familiar place and may already be meeting familiar friends.
Starting daycare is a big step for the whole family
What happens on the first days of daycare? How do children adapt to the daycare centre?
Every year, hundreds of children start at Pilke daycare centres, and each new child and family is always treated individually. This way we know how to choose the most effective ways to ensure a smooth start to the daycare experience. Collaboration with homes also plays an important role.
