The daycare client fee is affected by the private child care allowance granted by Kela. The fee may be reduced by an income-based care supplement; check Kela’s new income limits here. After applying the allowances you receive, our full-time early childhood education fee is between €14.15 and €340 per month.

Sibling discount: €150. Our daycare offers 4 hours of free early childhood education for 5-year-olds, and in addition, the City of Helsinki supports families with 5-year-olds with €160 per month. For more information, please contact the daycare Manager.

Pilke Taikapomppu – Music and Movement Kindergarten in Herttoniemi
Located in Herttoniemenranta, Pilke Taikapomppu is a small, cozy, and warm-hearted kindergarten for children aged 0–6. Our daily activities emphasize movement and music, and we also offer pre-primary education.
The joy of movement and versatile activities every day
Taikapomppu is a movement-focused kindergarten, where our goal is for children to discover the joy of physical activity and develop an active lifestyle in a child-centered way. Our focus on movement is visible throughout daily life, for example, through outdoor adventures, daily playground play, weekly musical movement sessions, and guided exercise classes. Following the annual rhythm of physical activity, children are introduced to a variety of sports, including athletics, ball games, and winter sports.
Singing, playing, and rhyming
We also aim to provide children with musical experiences, skills, and a sense of achievement. We encourage children to explore music in a way that can inspire lifelong musical interests. Our love for music is present in everyday activities, where children sing, play instruments, dance, and improvise in a joyful and supportive environment. Activities include forest music sessions, musical painting, and playful instrument storytelling.
Varied activities following the early childhood education curriculum
In addition to music and movement, our program includes other diverse activities such as excursions, theater performances, and arts and crafts sessions—without forgetting rest and relaxation. Pedagogy is present in every moment of daily life, from counting peas hidden in salad to exploring colors while painting. We value every unhurried moment spent talking, playing, and being silly together, discovering the world as a community.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.

Small group activities indoors and outdoors.
