The daycare client fee is affected by the private child care allowance granted by Kela. The fee may be reduced by an income-based care supplement; check Kela’s new income limits here. After applying the allowances you receive, our full-time early childhood education fee is between €14.15 and €340 per month.

Sibling discount: €150. Our daycare offers 4 hours of free early childhood education for 5-year-olds, and in addition, the City of Helsinki supports families with 5-year-olds with €160 per month. For more information, please contact the daycare Manager.

Located in Herttoniemenranta, Pilke Taikapomppu is a small, cozy, and warm-hearted daycare center for children aged 0–5. Our daily activities emphasize both physical activity and music.
Joy of Movement and Varied Daily Activities
Taikapomppu is a sports-oriented daycare where the goal is to help children discover the joy of movement and an active lifestyle in a child-centered way. Our focus on physical activity is present in everyday life through nature outings, daily outdoor play, weekly music-and-movement sessions, and guided exercise activities. Throughout the year, we explore various types of physical activity according to our seasonal sports calendar—ranging from athletics to ball games and winter sports.
Singing, Playing, Rhyming
We also aim to offer children rich musical experiences, skills, and opportunities to succeed and enjoy learning. A key objective is to inspire a lifelong interest in music. Our passion for music is evident in our daily life—we sing, play instruments, dance, and improvise in a joyful and encouraging environment. Activities include forest-themed music sessions, music painting, and instrument rhymes.
Diverse Activities Aligned with the Early Childhood Education Plan
Our program also includes a wide variety of other activities such as field trips, theater performances, arts and crafts sessions, and restful quiet times. Pedagogical thinking is present in everything we do—from counting peas in salad to exploring colors through painting. We value every unhurried moment spent talking, playing, and being silly together—discovering the world side by side.

Daycare centre doors open. Welcome! We start the day with a hug and have a chat. Then we gradually start to play.
